Privacy Policy

How we handle data on this website — in plain language

The short version: We collect a small amount of analytics data to understand how this website performs. We do not sell, rent, or trade your data and we run no advertising. In the EEA and UK we ask for your consent before any analytics cookies are set; elsewhere we enable privacy-respecting analytics by default and you can opt out at any time via "Cookie Preferences" in the footer.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Fair TPRM ("we," "us," or "our") collects when you visit fairtprm.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers this public website only. The self-hosted Fair TPRM application that you download and run on your own infrastructure stores its data on your systems and is governed by your own policies.

1. Information We Collect

We aim to collect as little as possible. The categories are:

  • Analytics data: We use Google Analytics 4 with Google Consent Mode and IP anonymization. In the EEA and UK, no analytics cookies are set until you consent — until then Google receives only anonymous, cookieless signals that cannot identify you. Outside the EEA/UK, analytics is enabled by default and you can opt out at any time. Either way we collect only aggregated, non-identifying usage information — such as the pages you visit, how you arrived (referring site or search), approximate location (country/region), and general device and browser type. We never set advertising cookies.
  • Server logs: Like virtually all websites, our web server automatically records standard technical information (such as IP address, browser user-agent, and timestamps) for security, troubleshooting, and reliability. These logs are kept briefly and rotated.
  • Information you choose to provide: If you fill out our contact form or sign up for a demo, we collect the details you submit (for example, your name and email address) solely to respond to you and provide the service you requested.

2. Cookies & Your Consent

We take a consent-first approach to cookies:

  • In the EEA and UK, no cookies are set until you click "Accept" on the banner; until then Google receives only anonymous, cookieless signals (with no identifiers) and you cannot be identified. Outside the EEA/UK, analytics is on by default and you can decline at any time using the controls below. We never set advertising cookies anywhere.
  • When analytics is active (you accepted, or you are outside the EEA/UK and have not opted out), Google Analytics sets a small number of cookies (for example, _ga) to measure usage. Your consent choice itself is stored in your browser's local storage — not in a cookie.
  • You can change your mind at any time using the button below to reopen the banner and accept or decline again. (It is also available as "Cookie Preferences" in the footer of every page.)

3. How We Use Information

We use the limited information we collect only to:

  • Understand and improve site performance and content — which articles and pages are useful, and where the experience can be better;
  • Respond to inquiries and demo requests you send us;
  • Maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the website.

4. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties for their marketing or advertising purposes. We do not run advertising networks or ad-tracking on this site. Analytics data is used only by us, in aggregate, to improve the site.

5. Third-Party Services

When you consent to analytics, usage data is processed by Google Analytics (provided by Google LLC) on our behalf. Google's handling of that data is governed by Google's own privacy policy. You can learn more about how Google uses data from sites that use its services, and how to opt out, here:

6. Data Retention

Aggregated analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics configuration (typically no longer than 14 months) and is then automatically deleted. Server logs are retained only briefly for operational and security purposes. Information you send us (such as a contact message) is kept only as long as needed to assist you.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or the California CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You always have the right to:

  • Decline or withdraw consent for analytics cookies at any time using the cookie preferences control above;
  • Request a copy or deletion of any information you have provided to us;
  • Use browser controls or the Google opt-out add-on to limit tracking.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

8. International Visitors

We operate this website from, and analytics may be processed in, the United States and other countries. By using the site and consenting to analytics, you understand that your information may be processed in countries with different data-protection laws than your own.

9. Children's Privacy

This website is intended for business and professional audiences and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted to this page, and we will update the "last updated" date below. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
